1. New Kitchen

This kitchen originally had drab blonde birch cupboards that were the inserted when the house was built. It was also very narrow in the dining area. The original wall was at the location where the desk is you see in the pictures. I added 4 feet to the dining area to make it wider and more room for the dining table. This wall was bumped out into a portion of the attached porch. New cabinets, countertops, flooring and appliances greatly helped update this kitchen also. A desk was added to this room and is used often. You can see additional pictures in the gallery portion of this website.

2. Living Room

This was originally a long narrow family room which was enlarged by 8 feet creating a greater living area and more room for entertaining. A corner gas fireplace was added and new windows installed. The ceiling which you will view pictures of in the gallery is an octagon shaped tray ceiling with lights behind the crown molding for accent lighting. Ceiling lights also assist in the updated look. 3. Three Season Porch

This is a 3 season porch that needed much updating. The windows were old and the walls had exterior siding on them. Tongue and groove pine were put on the walls and the ceiling for low maintenance and for appealing design. The floor is ceramic tile that can easily be cleaned. All new windows and a new door were inserted to aide in the enjoyment of sitting in the room and viewing the scenery and also to aid in the natural light. Opening the windows and turning on the ceiling fan helps keep it cool in the summer heat. You can see additional pictures in the gallery portion of this website.    

4. Gazebo

Construction Rushmore, MN – Gazebo This is a hexagon shaped gazebo that I was hired to build. The homeowners wanted to get outside at night to enjoy time away from the TV and the phone but didn’t want to deal with the bugs and mosquitos. I designed this gazebo myself and with their liking of it, started the building process. The homeowners really enjoy this gazebo about 9 months out of the year. They are in it almost nightly and love to entertain in it. The size is 16 foot across.  It has windows on all sides of the gazebo to provide lots of natural lighting.  Even in the hottest weather (which happens in Sioux Falls, SD and Rushmore, MN) with all the windows opened and the ceiling fan on it stays quite cool from the cross breeze.   It has vinyl windows and vinyl siding on the exterior so it is low maintenance. The walls on the inside are tongue and groove pine.
